In brief:A suite of chalk grassland SSSI managed for multiple uses and with high public access. The sites are a mixture of calcareous and neutral grassland, scrub and wood pasture and are grazed with Sussex cattle and a mixed breed sheep flock. Meat is sold direct to members of the public and staff. Some sites have vehicular access and cattle are marked with reflective bands to minimise the risk of accidents.
