Livestock Checkers and Conservation Grazing in Practice Courses
Both courses include a mix of outdoor practical sessions and indoor classroom work. There is not a fixed programme of courses as they are arranged on demand. If you are interested in attending a course then please contact us.

GAP is an approved training provider and has developed two national stock husbandry training courses. The courses are Lantra-accredited and aim to provide a basic introduction to livestock for extensive/conservation grazing.
There are two courses:
- A one day Livestock Checkers course designed to provide basic training for volunteer stock checkers. For further information on this course please click here
- A two day Conservation Grazing in Practice course aimed at increasing awareness of the behaviour and husbandry of grazing animals in extensive/conservation grazing systems. The course covers everything from paperwork and legal requirements to a practical handling session. For further information on this course please click here
